OCT24: Double Thick Folding Potholder (knitting)
Join us for an exciting advanced beginner knitting class where you'll learn how to create a practical and beautiful potholder from start to finish! Using a soft, machine-washable cotton yarn, you'll create a double-sided fabric that folds into a handy, thick potholder with a loop for easy hanging. This project is not only functional and giftable but also makes a great travel companion! Students will have the opportunity to learn the Turkish cast on, knitting garter stitch fabric in the round using the magic loop technique, how to create an i-cord and grafting live stitches. Join us for this fun skill building class.
Materials: 1 Skein Cascade Nifty Cotton (solid colors recommended for the class), US-6 40” circular needle, US6 double point needles, Tapestry Needle, Scissors, and Removable Stitch Markers. Pattern will be provided in class.
