Join us for a Spring Knit Along. We love this basic sweater using Blue Sky Fibers Organic Cotton. We’ll get you started in April and meet twice a month in May and June to work on this project. It’s a perfect first sweater for a beginning knitter and a great easy project for our more experienced knitters. Stop by to select your color by April 20th and class will start on April 30. Don’t worry is you have to miss one of the classes, you will be working at your own pace.
Materials: 6-10 hanks of Organic Cotton yarn (depending on size, pattern includes ladies’ sizes XS - XXL), US8 16” and US8 24” circular needles or size needed to obtain gauge, stitch holder, tapestry needle, spare needle for 3-needle bind off and pattern. Pattern is available at no charge if you purchase materials and sign up to participate in the Knit Along. If you have US7 or US9 needles in 16” or 24”, bring those with you.
Skill Level: Beginner, must be proficient with knit and purl.
Homework – Gauge Swatch: Cast on 21 stitches, Knit 2 rows. Row 3: Knit. Row 4: K2, P17, K2. Repeat Rows 3 & 4 for 24 rows. Knit 2 rows and bind off. Bring to class.
