APR17: Cloudy Day Shawl
If you have never tried a lace shawl before, here is your chance to try! This deceptively simple pattern is a great introduction to lace and beading! This simple wearable shawl is an amazing summer accessory. The designer created the shawl appear like clouds with the beads symbolizing rain.
Materials: 1 skein Anzula Cloud, Size 6 beads (approx 1000 beads / 11 packages of Mill Hill beads), Steel Crochet hook for beading, stitch markers, US 6, US 7, US 8, US 9 and US 10 circular needles, 32 inches or longer, pattern. Pattern available for purchase in the shop.
Skill Level: Beginner- must be able to knit, purl, cast on and cast off comfortable.
Homework: With US 6 circular needle, cast on 159 stitches, knit Rows 1 and 2 through the back loop. Row 3: Switch to US 7 circular needle and Purl across. Bring to class.
